BLUEHAVEN HOMES

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

A collaborative effort with Jon Galloway . This site was fully rebranded during this build. This included reimagining the logo.  This site relies heavily on using advanced custom fields in the back end to power dynamic pages on the front end. By using Elementor’s powerful dynamic post building, this website employs many templates making maintenance a breeze. Using the taxonomy features in WordPress, we used JSON magic to allow for custom queries and filters. These queries also pull from the custom fields, meaning that one change to a property changes it across the entire site.

TOOLS I USED
WHAT I LEARNED

Integrating taxonomy filtering with ACF is a game-changer when it comes to organizing and presenting content. Taxonomies, such as categories and tags, can be linked to custom fields, allowing for more granular content classification and filtering. One of the most important lessons I learned is that the combination of ACF, taxonomy filtering, and JSON tools offers a high degree of customization and scalability. It allows web developers to adapt and expand a website’s functionality to meet evolving user needs and business goals, in a reasonable amount of time. Having a site templated and updating dynamically makes it simpler to update and display information in real-time. This is particularly useful for websites that require frequent content updates like this one.
